I want to tell you fellows a thing I think you should know about love. Love is being a part of your kids lives as well as the life of the woman. That means when things come up like a activity for your kids be there.
Today I decide to take my kids fishing. I know it will be a blast. I don't know where the memo came from of waiting for your kids to be old enough to teach them something you want to teach them. They are old enough when they can understand the words you say out of your mouth.
Let me tell you a story. When my oldest child was born I began to think out how we should raise her. I thought about the funny things we have done for many years in my own birth family. One of those things was how we talk to them. I believed that if we talk to them using the dumb baby language then how can we get them to learn what we are saying. So I made it a point to never talk to her in that way.
When she was just 8 months old, my mother and the baby's mother came in and gave her a piece of candy. She took the candy unwrapped it and thew the candy wrapper on the floor. I immediately told her, "pick that wrapper up and throw it in the trash". Before she could make a move, my mother said, "she don't know what you are saying leave her alone". I look at my mother and laughed. I turned to my child with a firm tone I said," they don't think you understand what I am saying but we know better now pick that wrapper up and put it in the trash". She walk over picked up the wrapper, went over to the trash, and place the it in the trash can.
Believe it or not, Women love to see there man interact with the kids like a big kid yourself.
(Note: this is only when playing with the kids once that is over act an adult. ) Being there for your kids that to a woman is a good man. More so then that, as a man we have many roles we have to fill. these are just some of the roles I think about on a daily bases. What ever you do, do it with the understanding that these are the things that enhance your children, your woman, and your life. Cause to be honest a woman would love a break from the kid/s. We know when the woman in our life is happy that night we get a taste of the happiness.
