The News vs thinking

I woke up this morning feeling pretty good about life. Until I started watching the News! I don't know about you guys but it is one of those things as a kids I did like to do. Now that I am a man, I feel it is something I am compelled to do. Maybe this is something that is written in our DNA? Yet I'm getting so tired of the media trying to scare me with doom and gloom one day then try to sell me on the idea they have an answer another day. I don't know if any of you have notice this but this is the trend I keep noticing. Today is no different. I wonder who comes up with these topics. I also wonder why is it that is on other news shows. Hell, how is it on NBC stations today then on ABC stations tomorrow? I don't have to give you a specific topic because you know what I am talking about. Whether it is about fall fashion to politics, News shows want to somehow control your thinking.
Your thinking may not be your own at times. How many times have you watch something on television only repeat what you heard someone say on the News? You pretend like you have first hand knowledge. Secretly you know it came from the news show you were watching that morning. By round of applause, let me know you been there. Oh, I know some of you do say where you got the information. You know it just goes over better when you seem to have the inside scoop.
I am just getting a little upset about the fact that how some people watch this mess without an analysis eyes. They believe without really thinking things through. Give you an example. Awhile back, they reported Will and Jada Smith were getting a divorce. They even showed you pictures of Will with his son alone and Jada with her daughter alone at different functions. These pictures was enough to say they were getting a divorce, talking about putting the cart before the horse. I remember thinking if I were them and wanted to keep people want to talk about me this would actually cause some director to want to use this little momentum to make some money with me in a movie. I would take a little time to say the rumors are false. See, Will hasn't made a movies in a while so many are wondering what he has been doing Since the movie Seven Pounds. I notice on the news they never responded  when they did Will and Jada claimed it was all false.
Okay once again by applause, who thinks that they are looking for some dirt on two successful BLACK PEOPLE that are adding to their family's success with the success of their kids? I'll tell you, I loved the movie the Karate kid but the latest version did the original justice. Black people need to be aware of what is going on in the United States and the world. We just need to take the time out to question it.
