Opposites Attract

It has long been said that opposites attract. I know you might have heard this said by someone you are close to. I seen the examples myself of what they say. you see a tall man with a short woman, a dark man with a light skinned woman, and even a fat man with a skinny woman. These are all what we call opposites, right. (smile)
I know the world use to confuse me with this being a truth. The real truth is that the so called "they" don't know what they are talking about. We were taught thing have an opposite, so we assume it works on a relationship level with people. The only place where opposites attract is when it comes to magnets. Think about it we don't choose our friends using this opposite rules. you meet someone who is the opposite of you; you are not going to like having them around very much. You'd want to go right, they'd want to go left. You'd say yes, they'd say no. If someone was the total opposite of you, it would drive you nuts. Try to use this with a mate you have chosen. You want to go out and have fun. They want to stay at home. You want to sit and talk. They want to watch television. You want to make love and they want to get some sleep. I can bet you one thing and I only take sure bets. You want be in that relationship very long. Could you imagine if you were a good girl and he was always the bad boy getting into trouble. You having to bail him out all the time would eventually get old. I imagine there are many of you women who know that one. 

The appearance of what we call opposite is just a coincidence. The real truth is that we choose our friend and mates base on what we have in common. I remember the things taught to me as a young man. We still hear these things today. If a woman gave up the goodies to soon, she might give it to the next man just as fast. What we men have fell to understand is this woman felt a real connection to you. That only comes from the communication, talks, she had with that man. That woman thought he was being totally truthful about who he was and his intentions. She really thought she had found more connections with him then any other man. It is time that we wake up and see thing for what they really are. No matter how you put it, opposite won't make a good relationship.
